Laura’s parents were Henry Reid and America Savannah or Sivanna (a Cherokee Native American) who died when Laura was only 15 months old.
She moved with her family from Ft. Worth, Texas in 1918. She was the wife of George W. Cox and mother of Roy, Willard, Craig, Henry, Fred, Lonnie, Maudie, and Lucille.
Laura died of a stroke.
