Her dad was J T Clayton and he was from Illinois and her mom’s name was Emma Ross from Texas. Iva had three children with Melvin Horton; Alice Jean, Agnes Jane, and Melvin Louis. They moved to Rodeo in 1931 for Iva’s health. She died in 1931 in Douglas of tuberculosis.
