He was born in Mexico to Hilarios Mendoza and Felecita Sanchez. He married Torivia Gomez on 9/14/1922 in Gomez Palacios, Mexico.
They moved to Rodeo and he started working for the Southern Pacific railroad and retired from them in 1948. He was known by all as “To-To”.
He and his family made the adobes for the Catholic mission about to be built. In his later years, he made his home with Angela and Ramon Somoza until he died of natural causes on Christmas day, 1975.
