Somoza, Angela Gomez

The youngest child of Tomas and Ysabel Gomez, she was born in Douglas and then spent her first sixteen years in Doole, Texas.
She married Ramon Somoza November 12, 1938 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Douglas. They lived for a time at Apache, Arizona
and then moved to Rodeo, where they had three children that she raised with love and firmness: Toni, Bernardo, and Julio. She had a real
green thumb and loved to cook and bake.
She and Ramon contributed a lot of time and effort to their community during their lifetime.
They lived next door to the San Felipe Catholic Mission that they helped build.
She died of natural causes in 1995. |
