Deshazo, Edna Hutchins
July 29, 1911 - November 22, 1979
Edna was born in Texas. After coming to the Rodeo area from Hatch, NM in 1954, she and husband Stanley bought a farm from Jack Hoggett that was just south of the road to Animas. They had several bad years there trying to farm cotton and gave it up and went to work at the store at Apache. They worked many years to pay off the debt because it was the right thing to do.

They had two children, Richard Stanley and Lynne Ellen. Edna drove the school bus for the Apache school, probably from 1966 - 1970. Edna had an impressive collection of arrowheads that she collected in the area. Her son has some of them framed. She died of congestive heart failure in Albuquerque on Thanksgiving Day, 1979.
