Ephraim Dobson, husband of Emma

Ephraim was born in Rockford, Il to Thomas Dobson and Cynthia Filmore (Fillmore) from New Brunswick. Thomas Dobson was son of George John Dobson and Lavinia (Lavina) Polly who settled around Rockford, Illinois from the New Brunswick, Canada area. Cynthia Fillmore was daughter of Paul Christologus Generous and Monica Chapoton.
Ephriam Dobson married Emily “Emma” Genereaux and they lived and farmed in Hope, Kansas where daughter Cynthia Viola was born in 1892. Children also included Owen Fred, Paul, Edward Carl, Joseph Bruce, Herbert H, and Charlie.
The family then moved to Welsh, LA. Then they finally moved out West to NM around 1906 and eventually homesteaded 350 acres in the 20’s. Their daughter Cynthia Viola later married John William (Shorty) Dickson. |
