Henry moved to Rising Star, Texas from the Rivena area in about 1900. He was one of 12 children born to Henry Lour Hale and ???? Married to Lula Jane Dill from Rising Star, Texas on July 3, 1901 in Pioneer, Texas. He left Rising Star about 1909 to homestead approximately 3 miles south-west of Rodeo. The trip took them a month by covered wagon. They filed on the homestead May 10, 1909. Bought and sold horses that were shipped by train to Texas for sale. Children were Georgia 5/21/1902, John Henry 2/25/1904, Robert Raymond 10/08/1906, Lula Pearl 12/29/1909, and Doris 8/21/1912. He was shot and killed in a disagreement with Ike Faust on the Spencer place. His killer was sentenced to 1 year in jail for manslaughter. His widow later married Ambrose Bull in 1923.
