Martin, Nora Baker
December 8, 1896 - August 10, 1953
She was the daughter of J T Baker and Mary Ann Girard, and the wife of Jeff. Together they had 3 children: Talbert, Beuford, Driscoll. As a young wife and mother she lived in Claude with her family. She was active member of the Christian church, both there and in Rodeo. When she first began attending church in Rodeo the meetings were held in a dug out.

She was noted for beautifully appointed meals and holiday gatherings, but she was hampered by the effects of tuberculosis in later life. She was still able to do beautiful needlework and much of it remains with family members even now.

In later years she maintained her livelihood by renting out several apartments in her home. Over the years, they became almost like family. She was very devoted to all members of her family until her death August 10, 1953.
