William was the son of Paul and Ora J who were from Marshall Falls, TX. He worked for the San Simon Cattle Co, the Darnell’s, the Roberds’ and later the Kimbles.
He married Sarah Ackerson, from Pattison, TX and lived up in Horseshoe Canyon. He was a good fiddle player and also owned a player piano. He and Sarah played for
dances in the area. He was up real late one night, playing at the Buckalews and got hit by an unscheduled train early the next morning while in his Model T truck.
His wife Sarah and eighteen month old boy Clifford moved to Douglas after that. |
